Parent Liaison

Parent and Student Resources

Welcome to the RRMS Parent and Community Engagement Page!

Welcome to the Parent and Community Engagement page! My name is Elizabeth Johnson and I am the 2024-2025 Parent and Community Engagement Liaison for Rehoboth Road Middle School. This is my 30th year teaching in the Griffin-Spalding County School System.

A Parent Liaison works to bridge the gap between home and school by assisting parents in understanding ways they can help their scholars with academics. I am here to help you help your scholar have the most successful middle school years possible.

Getting engaged in your scholar’s education is a key piece of the student academic achievement puzzle. By getting more engaged, parents help us work towards closing the achievement gap between students and their peers and also change the culture of schools so parents, students, and teachers define success as the academic achievement of every child.

Your scholar will reap great benefits from you getting and staying involved throughout their education. These include:

  • higher achievement in reading

  • higher grades and test scores

  • high graduation rates

  • greater enrollment in post-secondary education

  • overall higher student achievement

Parent workshops and stakeholder meetings will be held throughout the year. Please be on the lookout for more information regarding these opportunities for you to partner with us to ensure your child's academic success.

On this page, you will find pertinent information about upcoming school events, important documents, school newsletters, and links to other important pages. Please check back often for updates.

I look forward to working with each of you and to a great 2024-2025 school year. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about your scholar or Rehoboth Road Middle School.

Your input matters!

Please take a few minutes to provide the school with your feedback on the school and district parent engagement policies, the school-parent compact, the reservation of funds, and how to build staff capacity.
