The Griffin-Spalding Partners In Education (PIE) awarded scholarships for $1,000 each to 11 Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) teachers who are currently seeking additional certification or advanced degrees related to their teaching/educational field. The 2023 recipients are:

Applicants had to have at least one year of service as a GSCS certified employee, provide 2022 grades (with a 3.0 GPA or higher) and tuition receipt. Recipients must agree to serve as a GSCS teacher or administrator for the upcoming school year if offered a position.

Scholarship funds are raised through the Teachers Giving to Teachers campaign, the annual PIE golf tournament and cornhole tournament.
