The Griffin-Spalding Partners in Education (PIE) had a successful 2nd annual cornhole tournament to benefit the teachers and students of the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS). Fifty teams played in the tournament held at Solomon Park on Saturday, May 13.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to fund classroom grants, field trip grants and teacher tuition reimbursement scholarships.
The tournament was a part of the 2nd Saturday May’d in Griffin event. The event was a collaborative effort between the school district, Partners in Education, city, county, downtown council, chamber of commerce and industry.

Pro Bracket: 1st Place – D&T, 2nd Place – Two & Out & 3rd Place – Let it Fly
Fun Bracket: 1st Place – Aces in the Hole, 2nd Place – R & D Archery & 3rd Place – Team Penguin
Best GSCS School Team: Jackson Road Elementary
