Congratulations to our SHS Blue Jag Funk Band on winning the 2-A Band Championship held on October 19, 2024, at Berkmar High School. The competition was intense with more than 20 high school bands represented. Our Jaguars arrived, handled their business and took home five awards in the following areas:
Band - 1st Place 2A Champions
Band - Excellent
Percussion - 3rd Place
Dance Team - 3rd Place
Majorette - 3rd Place
They were also recognized with the following 2A Band Ratings:
Musicality - Excellent
Percussion - Excellent
Dance - Excellent
Majorette - Excellent
Overall Band Rating - Excellent
It's clear that our Jags did not come to "play" and all of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence is paying off in grand fashion.
